Back in 2008, the State Garden Show in Bingen was a complete success. The city's Rhine bank was transformed from a disused marshalling yard into one of the most beautiful promenades on the entire Rhine. It was the birth of the wonderful Bingen culture bank. A place of creativity, conviviality and well-being, which today is an integral part of the Rhine city.
Impressive projects in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley
Magnificent horticulture and idyllic landscape architecture in Bingen
The BUGA 2029 is to bring about a similarly intensive cultural boost. And to this end, those responsible have come up with many impressive projects. These include the redesign of the Rhine parks in Niederlahnstein and Oberlahnstein, a new "climate park" above the Culture and Landscape Park on the Loreley Plateau, and the beautification of the forecourts of Rheinfels Castle in St. Goar.
Of course, fantastic projects will also be realized in Bingen. The park at the Mäuseturm will be one of the focal points at BUGA 2029. The area around the former wagon repair hall in particular will be lavishly landscaped. Also the Bingen Kulturufer, from the Rhine-Nahe Corner to the harbor, is to accommodate temporary elements. These can be theme gardens, but also cultural events.
Federal Horticultural Show 2029 with even more diversity
Seasons showcase the Upper Middle Rhine Valley in a multifaceted way
The historic gardens of Klopp Castle will also receive an extensive makeover. The surroundings of the moat will be sustainably redesigned and a beautiful park will be created. In addition, a fairytale path will be created from the banks of the Rhine to the castle. This will make a visit to the Bingen landmark an even more beautiful experience.
Depending on the season, the Federal Horticultural Show 2029 puts certain areas of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley in a special light. The northern valley shows its full splendor in spring, the central valley in summer and the southern valley in fall. The division gives the BUGA an even greater diversity with even more intensive cultural and natural experiences for the visitors:inside. Be curious about what awaits you in and around Bingen in 2029.
