Kostümführung mit der Dienstmagd Christl Stüber

Christl Stüber wurde im Jahre 1877 in dem kleinen Hunsrückdorf Altweidelbach geboren. Mit 17 Jahren kam sie als Hausangestellte nach Bingen. Zunächst arbeitete sie Küchenhilfe im Hause von Carl III. Puricelli, einem nahen Verwandten der Besitzer der Rheinböller Hütte. Sie stand u.a. auch bei Bürgermeisters Neff, einem jüdischen Weinhändler und bei Harro Moller – Racke (u.a. Kupferberg Sekt) im Dienst. Auf ihrem Spaziergang im historischen Kostüm erzählt sie vom Binger Leben vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. In dieser Führung wird der Bogen von früher bis heute geschlagen. Im Kaiserreich geboren, hat sie den Faschismus aber die Enstehung der Bundesrepublik und die Entwicklung des Sozialsystem erlebt. Der Aufstieg der ganz neuen Popkultur.

Already the probably most famous "son of the city of Bingen", the poet Stefan George, dedicated a passage to him in his childhood memories "Sundays on my land". Even in 2007, the monument topography of the Mainz-Bingen district devoted two pages to it and its beautiful gravestones: And yet the Old Christian Cemetery on Rochusallee, the resting place of the citizens of Bingen from 1822 until the 1920s, is no longer a household name to many Bingers today. The Rochusberg is a beautiful corner for walks with views of Rheinhessen, the Nahe Valley and the Rheingau plus the Rhine. A place of strength on a line with the Donnersberg. One has from the castle Klopp in Bingen on the Rhine, a beautiful view over Bingen, the Rhine shipping and the many vineyards. Interesting is also the castle fountain, and if you are still fit enough, you can climb the 150 stairs up the tower, here you are compensated with a great panoramic view.
